Les Mahouka ont une très belle civilisation. Elle se résume autour de la signification et origine des noms. Une organisation lignagère qui inspire le respect des aînés et la dignité de la tradition. Les sous-groupes Mahouka, quelque soient leur localité obéissent à une organisation politique et religieuse. Cette société est hiérarchisée se qui permet à chaque couche sociétale de connaître son rôle. Les femmes Mahouka sont multidimensionnelles. Elles travaillent efficacement au champ. Pendant, les périodes de fêtes ou de mariage, elles jouent un grand rôle avec leurs spécialités culinaires. Cependant, il est important de souligner que les Mahouka ne sont pas les seuls peuples à vivre dans la région du Bafing. Nous avons la présence des DAN ou Yacouba appelé Kla et Youaanigbè. Ils seraient les hôtes des Mahouka depuis le XVIème siècle. Ces autochtones Kla et Youaanigbè participent à l’enrichissement de la civilisation Mahouka.
