La question chypriote suscite depuis des décennies des réactions de la part des universitaires, des décideurs politiques, des organisations internationales et de plusieurs pays à travers le monde. Le conflit sur l’île semble s’être compliqué après l’intervention de la République de Turquie en 1974. Depuis lors, cette intervention continue de faire l’objet de controverses et sa légalité au regard du droit international est contestée. Cet ouvrage tente d’éclaircir la position juridique de l’intervention de la Turquie sur l’île, tout en examinant une solution possible à l’impasse politique entre les deux communautés chypriotes de l’île. Il examine également l’impact de la question chypriote sur l’adhésion de la Turquie à l’Union européenne et conclut qu’il est nécessaire de régler ce conflit qui dure depuis longtemps sur l’île.
