En 2019, Leticia fue diagnosticada con un trastorno bipolar, un padecimiento grave y crónico, después de un ingreso en contra de su voluntad en un hospital psiquiátrico. Este diagnóstico llegó muchos años después de sufrir repetidas crisis de ansiedad y depresión mayor que deterioraron su calidad de vida: la asaltaban las ideas suicidas, quería desaparecer, estar viva suponía un esfuerzo insoportable.
