Este trabalho apresenta a conceção e implementação de um laboratório virtual, que tem a possibilidade de interagir com equipamentos reais, orientado para o controlo de processos industriais. Baseia-se na modelação dos sistemas envolvidos num processo produtivo, que se inicia com a transformação de matérias-primas. Neste processo de transformação interagem diferentes tipos de sistemas, que podem ser descritos como contínuos ou discretos, e cada um destes sistemas pode ser modelado e controlado por equipamentos especializados para o efeito.
