A Fabricated Labor Union Story Engineered by True Events.A contemporary underdog story, LABOR LU delivers a comedic spin to a rigged, one-sided battle of Greedy Corporate Elitists versus Working Class Americans. Set in multicultural, urban Oakland, California, an ongoing labor war drags a young Chicana (Mexican- American) Taco Truck owner into a hilariously painful storm of inequality and injustice. This story is for the American Worker of all collars, colors and classes and devotees of the courageous legacy left behind by our beloved Cesar Chavez. The remaining one percent might want to sit this one out. **A note from the author: Corporations have repeatedly taken advantage of their nearly unlimited resources to destroy American job security. Tossing out the livelihoods of American families like yesterday’s garbage without compassion or remorse should be a crime punishable by imprisonment. But no serious repercussions exist for stealing employees’ livelihoods or for thwarting the right to unionize to protect an American family’s way of life and future. We need to create awareness by clearly identifying the theme and the antagonist in this developing war. My hope is that LABOR LU is entertaining and relatable enough to expand awareness for the need to strengthen and create laws that protect the right to collective bargaining. No family should be punished or their livelihood taken away for exercising those rights as an American worker.Thank you for purchasing a copy of LABOR LU. I hope you enjoy. In solidarity,Elsa
