La reedición de La vida cotidiana es un homenaje a Eduardo Cote Lamus, dado que es el único de sus libros que jamás fue reeditado de manera independiente, desde su primera edición en Mito en 1959, en su colección El Delfín, y porque en el 2014 se cumplieron cincuenta años de su muerte. Esta edición hace parte de la colección de poesía de la Facultad de Artes y Humanidades, Departamento de Humanidades y Literatura, de la Universidad de los Andes. Al incluirla en esta colección se busca hacerla asequible a un público amplio y contribuir así al mejor conocimiento de la obra del gran poeta Eduardo Cote Lamus. 10
