Tutti quelli di voi che hanno già visitato la piazza Bourg-de-Four nel centro storico di Ginevra ricorderanno sicuramente la fontana che si trova al centro della piazza. È perfetta per giocare e dal bordo della fontana si gode di una vista unica su tutta la piazza, che scende ripida verso il lago, nella Rue Verdaine e nella Rue de la Fontaine. Le due strade si biforcano ai piedi della piazza e al centro si trova una bella casa antica, circondata da un muro di pietra e da un cancello in ferro battuto. La maggior parte di voi non saprà nemmeno che si tratta di una chiesa! Forse non ci crederete, ma questa casa ha già 250 anni e ha vissuto molte avventure. E la storia che voglio raccontarvi risale ancora più indietro nel tempo. Infatti, la piazza Bourg-de-Four esisteva già molto prima che fosse costruita la casa al numero 20 di Rue Verdaine.
