Quel rôle joue l’Afrique dans la guerre contre le terrorisme ? L’augmentation récente des attaques terroristes et les conséquences du 11 septembre sur les États-Unis et le monde ont déplacé l’attention sur la guerre de l’Amérique contre le terrorisme, notamment en Afghanistan, en Irak et contre ISIS. L’Afrique reste en grande partie pauvre et sous-développée, ce qui en fait un terreau parfait pour les groupes terroristes. Cela a soulevé la question de savoir si le continent a les moyens financiers, politiques et juridiques et la volonté de lutter contre ce phénomène. Comment les activités terroristes sur ce continent, dont on pense qu’il comprend les pays les plus pauvres du monde, affectent-elles l’économie mondiale ? L’Afrique d’aujourd’hui et sa nouvelle approche multidimensionnelle de la lutte contre le terrorisme. Les plans de développement visant à dissuader les causes profondes et à traiter efficacement les problèmes de corruption ont produit l’effet inverse de celui escompté. Dans quelle mesure l’Afrique doit-elle prendre au sérieux la guerre contre le terrorisme ?
