A poorly maintained downhill stretch, failing brakes, and then a case quickly closed. In Wanindara-caught between a mother who leaves home before dawn every day to sell goods at the market and a co-wife whose sons have already found their place in the world-the child discovers early on that some absences speak louder than words and that certain silences shape a life.
