Au cours de négociations avec les États de leurs propres territoires, les dirigeants du Saint-Empire romain germanique et d’autres potentats européens, ils tentèrent de rallier autant d’alliés que possible. Cet ouvrage est consacré aux événements diplomatiques qui conduisirent finalement à la constitution de la plus grande force militaire jamais déployée contre les Ottomans.
