L’oggetto di questo studio è 'La percezione dei parenti dei pazienti di un’unità di terapia intensiva (ICU) sul processo di comunicazione con l’équipe infermieristica'. Nel senso comune, l’ambiente della terapia intensiva si caratterizza per essere freddo, buio, rumoroso e poco accogliente; il primo contatto degli utenti con questo ambiente può suscitare paura, ma è l’unico ambiente ad alta tecnologia in grado di fornire un’assistenza adeguata a casi di grave complessità e, con una buona comunicazione, può trasformare la paura provata in speranza. Per guidare questo lavoro, ci siamo proposti di rispondere alla seguente domanda: qual è la percezione dei familiari dei pazienti in terapia intensiva riguardo al processo di comunicazione con l’équipe infermieristica? Per rispondere a questa domanda, ci siamo posti il seguente obiettivo: descrivere la percezione dei parenti dei pazienti in terapia intensiva riguardo al processo di comunicazione con l’équipe infermieristica.
