La presentación en esta obra de la excepcional vida de un sabio como Pitágoras puede parecer incongruente o extraña para los lectores que en los volúmenes anteriores  descubrieron los acontecimientos remotos que se perdían en la noche de los tiempos. Sin embargo, no es más que una apariencia engañosa, porque nuestro héroe, a pesar de haber nacido griego, se convirtió a los veinte años en un puro espíritu egipcio en el sentido propio de la palabra. No se puede olvidar que Pitágoras es una fonetización helénica de un nombre sagrado en jeroglífico, el nombre que se le dio, al cabo de once años de iniciación en varias Casas de Vida, de los templos egipcios, nombre que le fue dado por el pontífice del colegio de los Grandes Sacerdotes.     En cuanto cursó el primer año de su enseñanza, se descubrieron sus aptitudes específicas, su extraordinaria inteligencia, su espiritualidad y su facultad de percepción asimilando todos los ritos que le llevaron al conocimiento supremo, ello le facilitó el reconocimiento de su aptitud divina en el acceso al Conocimiento. De esta forma, el que se llamaba a su llegada por el nombre dado por su padre: Mnésarchos, y fue entronizado al acabar sus estudios y renombrado por respeto PTAH-GO-RA (Ptah = Dios, Gô = Conocimiento, Râ = Sol) dicho de otra forma: "El que conoce a Dios tanto como al Sol" o bien, "El que conoce el Universo"
