La educación siempre tiene consecuencias para el desarrollo personal y social. No obstante, normalmente no suelen hacerse análisis relativos al impacto concreto que esta tiene en las personas y las comunidades. El objetivo principal de este libro es presentar un estado de la evaluación del impacto y la relevancia de la educación, a partir de la revisión del modo en que se ha abordado el tema a nivel internacional, aportando las bases conceptuales sobre las cuales sea posible diseñar un plan de evaluación acerca del impacto y la relevancia de la educación en la sociedad. En este libro se reflexiona sobre el potencial transformador de la educación e inicia una línea de análisis que tiene como objetivo visibilizar su importancia y mostrar la estrategia de la evaluación como adecuada para ello.
