Jacques Laurent nació en Francia pero fue criado por su tío argentino, Ignacio, un soltero sin hijos propios. Estanciero con propiedades en la provincia de La Pampa, más cerca de Buenos Aires, y en la provincia de Santa Cruz, Patagonia, Ignacio fue el encargado de inculcar al joven Jacques su pasión por la montaña y los caballos. Graduado de la universidad más prestigiosa de Francia, la Ecole Polythecnique, esta es la historia de Jacque de sus amores y aventuras, una historia de increíble valor y audacia frente a diferentes tipos de peligros y adversidades. Un coraje agudizado por los picos de las montañas que tuvo que conquistar y los caballos que tuvo que domar. Desde salvar a misioneros en América Central y rescatar a personas en las profundidades de la selva amazónica en condiciones imposibles, la historia pasa a luchar contra una despiadada banda de criminales con actividades en Francia y Turquía y persiguiendo terroristas en Oriente Medio. El lector quedará fascinado por el relato y se sumergirá en los mismos ambientes y dificultades que enfrentó Jacques.
