Park Je-Chun (Seúl, 1945) es uno de los poetas más sobresalientes de Corea, notable por la poderosa impronta personal de su escritura. Cercano a las influencias budistas y taoístas, su universo poético es un diálogo incesante entre el Ser y la Nada que, paradójicamente, anhela trascender las limitaciones del lenguaje. No obstante, la mirada de Park se mueve entre lo insignificantey lo sustancial, entre lo cotidiano y lo trascendente, dotando lo que toca de visiones y sensaciones insólitas y singulares. No es de extrañar que algunos de sus poemas adquieran formas secuenciales, muestra de un propósito consistente en la exploración de ciertas realidades esquivas. Tampoco lo es su afición al poema en prosa, concebido a la manera del koan o diálogos imposibles del budismo zen, destinados a trascender los limitados senderos de la razón. Park Je-Chun ha recibido algunos de los premios literarios más importantes de Corea y, además de su copiosa obra poética, ha cultivado el ensayo y la teoría literaria.
