John Nelson Darby, né à Londres le 18 Novembre 1800 et décédé le 29 Avril 1882, était un prédicateur protestant et fut le traducteur en plusieurs langues de la Bible. En véritable érudit, il la traduit directement en anglais, en allemand et en français, à partir des textes hébreu et grec.La version du Nouveau Testament que nous vous proposons dans cette édition fut publiée pour la première fois en 1859. Très respectueuse des textes originaux utilisés par Darby, elle est considérée comme l’une des traductions françaises les plus proches de l’original et constitue de la part de son traducteur un travail d’une extrême rigueur.
