En este libro un grupo de poetas españoles hemos querido rendirle un homenaje a un libro fundamental: la Antología de Spoon River de Edgar Lee Masters, publicado en 1915. Un libro de epitafios en verso. Para eso hemos recorrido España buscando un cementerio apropiado. Lo hemos encontrado en Teruel, a orillas del río Fresquillo, en la población de Alcaudete de la Vega. Al pasear entre las tumbas hemos escuchado las voces de sus pobladores. Algunos incluso fuera de las tapias y en las cunetas. Con sus risas y sus penas, y todas con un marcado sentido hispánico: esa sutil diferencia. No tenemos noticia de otro libro como este, al menos en español. 10
