Le présent ouvrage n’est que le fruit d’une curiosité liminaire autour de la question suivante :Peut-on réaliser un abécédaire sur le pouvoir masculin et ses fonctions, titres ou situations ?Oui, car cet ouvrage en est l’aboutissement. Décliné en vingt-six entrées alphabétiques sur le leadership , inhérent davantage à un pouvoir révolu plutôt qu’actuel, le lecteur aura un aperçu très sommaire - chaque vocable ayant été circonscrit à plus ou moins une page­ - bien que didactique d’une dénomination associée à l’androcratie. Quelques signalements bibliographiques ont été ajoutés à la suite de cet abécédaire pour celles et ceux qui voudraient en savoir un peu plus.Les différentes entrées alphabétiques choisies sont multilingues et composites. Elles couvrent un panorama singulier et international en ce qu’elles traitent pêle-mêle de fonctions autoritaires : française, anglaise, italienne, grecque, japonaise, chinoise, mais aussi islamique, chrétienne, juive, animiste, etc.
