Diese und weitere Fragen beantwortet die Autorin, indem sie deutsche und spanische Zeitungstexte und Leserkommentare miteinander vergleicht und prüft, inwiefern sich kulturspezifische Konzepte - sogenannte Kultureme - bestimmen lassen. Die zweisprachige Mediendiskursanalyse kombiniert quantitative und qualitative Methoden. Neben der Forschungsgeschichte und der Kulturemtheorie beschreibt sie auch die methodischen Schritte der Korpuserstellung in zwei Sprachen und der sprachvergleichenden Korpusanalyse.
