Angehörige des Volkes der Acholi wurden verfolgt, ermordet, verstümmelt und in Binnenflüchtlingslager gedrängt. Tausende von Kindern und Jugendlichen wurden entführt und zum Kämpfen und Töten gezwungen. Lucia Verginer führte direkt am Nachkriegsschauplatz ausführliche ethnopsychoanalytische Gespräche mit ehemaligen Entführten, bekannt als 'Kindersoldaten'. In ihrem vorliegenden Buch zeichnet sie fünf in sich einzigartige und doch tragisch kollektive Lebensgeschichten nach.
