Das Hauptziel dieser Studie bestand darin, die Auswirkungen eines auf konzeptionelle Veränderungen ausgerichteten Unterrichts, der durch Analogien ergänzt wird, auf das Verständnis von Achtklässlern für Konzepte chemischer Bindungen zu untersuchen. Darüber hinaus wurden in der Türkei die Auswirkungen des Unterrichts auf die Einstellung der Schüler zum Schulfach Naturwissenschaften und die Auswirkungen geschlechtsspezifischer Unterschiede auf das Verständnis chemischer Bindungskonzepte untersucht.
