Este livro é basicamente uma solução para um problema que é muito grave em todo o mundo. Com a utilização correta deste dispositivo, um grande número de pessoas pode satisfazer as suas necessidades. Os dados são enviados dos sensores médicos para a página Web, de modo a que as condições dos doentes na área remota possam ser devidamente analisadas. Neste dispositivo, são utilizados três sensores (temperatura, BPM e sensor de oxímetro), mas este projeto pode ser alargado em grande medida. Também podem ser utilizados muitos sensores complexos com grandes volumes de dados, como ECG, EMG, etc., mas para isso são necessários meios de comunicação mais rápidos e velozes. Com a implementação da tecnologia 3G, tornou-se possível enviar os dados destes sensores para a Web através de uma ligação mais rápida à Internet. Isto mostra claramente que este projeto pode ter um potencial muito bom no mercado.
