As a result of her own experiences with anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress, she is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health topics and empowering readers through her work. Her writing also proudly incorporates her Mexican & Irish American background and explores themes such as mindfulness, grief/loss, self-love, feminism and spirituality. Stephanie received her Bachelor’s in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology from the University of Southern California and her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. Stephanie loves making people laugh, traveling to hear the stories of others, re-watching her favorite T.V. shows, and learning to set boundaries like a badass. She lives with her husband, Andrew, her dog, Stella, and parakeet, Delta.
