Voraussetzungen und Perspektiven für kirchliche Männerarbeit.' Aus welchem Grund habe ich dieses Thema gewählt und wodurch ist mein Interesse entstanden? Die Wahl des Themas ist nach einer Tagung im Dezember 2006 in Loccum zum Thema: 'Was Männern Sinn gibt' auf die Männerarbeit gefallen. Diese war bis dato weder im Studium noch im Gemeindeleben jemals bewusst thematisiert worden und ich stellte mir die Frage, was Kirche für Männer im mittleren Alter anbietet. Inwiefern wenden sich Männer durch mangelnde Angebote von der Kirche ab und was kann kirchliche Männerarbeit den Männern bieten, was andere Vereine und Institutionen nicht können? Insofern ist meine erkenntnisleitendes Interesse an dieser Arbeit: In welcher Beziehung stehen Männer zur Kirche und inwiefern kann Männerarbeit die Männer erreichen und ist für sie ein geeignetes Angebot im kirchlichen Rahmen und hat welche Perspektiven als Männerarbeit in der Kirche?
