'Kautilya Unleashed' is a courageous and innovative attempt by Dr. C.T.William to analyze the management principles behind the successful working of the Mauryan Empire, India’s first great empire in archeologically recorded history to rule most of the Indian subcontinent. The current trend towards an increasingly globalized environment has led to the desire to learn and understand the dynamics and historical and sociological roots of various cultures and models of social and business organization other than that of one’s own. In that context, a study, such as the one attempted here by Dr. William on Kautilya and Arthashastra, is most timely.
