Questo libro analizza la rappresentazione dei supereroi nel film d’animazione Justice League (DC Comics, 2001) in relazione al discorso antiterrorismo. Questo cartone animato ha come protagonisti alcuni dei supereroi più affermati come: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lanterna Verde, tra gli altri. Questa animazione viene trasmessa in televisione in Brasile, un fatto che amplifica ancora di più la sua diffusione nella nostra società. Tenendo presente che questa animazione è stata trasmessa in televisione nell’anno in cui si è verificato uno dei più grandi attacchi terroristici: la caduta del World Trade Center nel 2001, cerchiamo di fare un’analisi quantitativa, in relazione al numero di episodi con tema antiterroristico, e qualitativa, analizzando la forma del discorso, l’estetica e il carattere in cui è stato coinvolto. Pertanto, questo libro conduce uno studio di caso sul prima e sul dopo il cosiddetto '11 settembre', utilizzando la suddetta animazione come fonte di analisi.
