This book should be understood as the political philosophy work intending to vivify Nyerere’s of Tanzania philosophy of development where as he explained factor for development namely people, land, good policies and good leadership as well as it 'enemies'- diseases, illiteracy and poverty. Julius Kambarage Nyerere was born on 13, April 1922 in Butiama a village near the town of Musoma in the Mara region on the southern shores of Lake Victoria in Northern Tanganyika, now Tanzania Mainland. His father was a local Zanaki Chief called Mzee (an elder Burito. Nyerere was known by the Kiswahili name Mwalimu or 'teacher,' one of the favorable titles he acquired because of his early profession as a teacher, before he became active in politics. His mother was called Christina Mugaya/Mgaya Wanyang’ombe. Nyerere was a politician, philosopher, author and poet. From 1961 to 1962 he governed Tanganyika as the Prime Minister, then as the President from 1962 to 1964 and in the end from 1964 as the President of the United Republic of Tanzania until 1985 when he stepped down from the power.
