The story is based on two plots - ancient and modern. The main characters of both plots have the same names and the same aspirations. One of them is the Biblical personage, the military leader and prophet Joshua, the son of Nun. The modern Joshua is a young boy living in an Israeli settlement. On the pages of the book the characters discuss the unfading and timeless problems of their country. The author hopes that the reader will find the story both absorbing and informative.
