Best known for his groundbreaking novels Ulysses and Finnegans Wake, Joyce was also a gifted poet whose verse is marked by musicality, emotional subtlety, and a deep sense of personal and artistic reflection. This volume includes Joyce’s two published poetry collections, Chamber Music (1907) and Pomes Penyeach (1927), as well as additional verse. From the early romanticism of Chamber Music to the more mature, introspective tones of Pomes Penyeach, these poems trace the evolution of a writer finding his voice in rhythm and rhyme before transforming modern prose.
