Twelve-year-old Jacky Fraser has entered a whirlwind of changes caused by adolescence and his graduation to middle school, when tragedy strikes and destroys any semblance of normal in his life. Up until then, Jacky had been a happy and popular guy; but as his new responsibilities pile up, Jacky realizes that the stress of his new family situation and the increasing pressure at school is making it impossible for him to keep up.
