In life, we all come to a certain point where we feel like God has forgotten us. And when we find ourselves in such situations, the usual questions we ask are 'Does He hate us? Why does He seem to hide Himself?' If only we could state my case before Him and hear His answer! The truth of the matter is that there is no form of problem you are passing through or would pass through that someone, somewhere, has not experienced. That is why the scriptures, according to 1 Peter 4:12, says: 'Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.' Job was a man who found himself in such an abysmal situation. He was so plagued to the extent that he demanded a hearing from God Himself, and God answered him. The history of the incident is told in great detail in the Bible. Disease strikes us, and we sometimes find ourselves covered with painful sores from the soles of our feet to the crown of our heads, as in the case of Job. But in all this, we must submit patiently to God, because He never allows us to be suffered by these problems beyond what we could bear. He capitalizes on issues like that to bless us and bring out the best in us. Isaiah 43:1-2 says: 'When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee'. Therefore, whenever these turbulent times appear in our lives, let us always remember Christ, our ever present helper, is always touched by the feelings of our infirmities because He has once been through them all.
