Hello, My name is Jo Burgess, a new author. Tennessee is my home, a beautiful part of God’s creation. I hold no theological degrees of any kind, and have no previous background in writing. My career before retirement was in the medical field. It has always been a great feeling to be able to help others in any way possible.This book is a random selection of writings done with the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. My purpose is two-fold. First, I seek to exalt the name of the LORD by showing His greatness and faithfulness to His children. Secondly, I pray that these words will encourage those who may be struggling with difficult circumstances in life. One may be thinking, 'Does anyone care what I’m going through,' or, 'Does anyone even care if I live or die?' I would like to say to you that there is one who loves you more than anyone else ever could, and His name is Christ Jesus. He wants to carry your burdens for you.Proverbs 3: 5-7: 'Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.'Jesus is our only hope in this sin darkened world and for all eternity. He is bigger than any problem we will ever have, and I seek to show that personally through my testimony about His faithfulness to me throughout my life. The Lord has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. I pray that this book will have a positive impact upon the lives of all who read it. May God bless you.
