In some writings in English language, there are some confusion about the nature of knowledge and mental being. As they think, from Mullā Ṣadrā’s points of view, knowledge and mental being are identical. But Javādī Āmulī, a contemporary interpreter of Mullā Ṣadrā’s texts, has seen this distinction as crucially. He is of the opinion that this distinction is an important landmark in Mulla Ṣadrā’s philosophy, as he remarks that many epistemological problems could be solved in this direction.
