I am an American poet known for my thought-provoking and emotive verses. My work delves into themes of love, loss, and the human experience, with a unique voice and style. I captivate my readers with my powerful words. My collection of poems delves into the human psyche with raw emotions and lyrical depth. My poems explore love, sacrifice, and mental turmoil, celebrating resilience and the quest for identity and peace. It is a powerful, intimate journey through life’s chaos and humanity and the solace found in connection.I suffer from schizophrenia and a mood disorder. I dissociate myself often. Sometimes I am unaware I have done it. Most of the time, I am out of touch with reality, and sometimes, I am in reality. It depends when my brain decides to split. I write each poem with emotional energy and what is on my mind at that time.My book is exciting, different, and unique, and it will make you ask yourself, Is it real? I want my readers to guess if the poem I wrote is real or make believe from a different perspective of how they interpret the message I am giving them through each of my poems.I hope my readers enjoy reading my poems as much as I enjoyed writing them. They call me Crazy, 5150, insane, crazy bitch, batshit crazy. Not normal. Even though I agree with people who refer to me using those words toward me, I also am a strong, independent, intelligent, and yes, weird individual. I love myself, and I want my readers to love my writing, as well as who I am as the author.Always keep people guessing; that way no one can ever figure you out.Enjoy!God bless us all!

  • Polishing the Silver
    Jennifer Chrystie
‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

  • One Kiss
    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

  • The Truth about A
    Maureen O'Shaughnessy
In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
