„Irrweg' ist ein philosophisch-religiöses Experiment: ein Versuch, aus der einschränkenden göttlichen Warteschleife auszubrechen und den eigenen Weg zu finden, egal, wie aussichtslos das erscheinen mag.Der Text beruht auf meiner (wesentlich kürzeren) niederländischsprachigen Geschichte „dwaaltocht', die zwischen November 1989 und Januar 1990 entstand und die ich früher bereits unter dem Pseudonym „raoul qayjo' veröffentlicht habe. Zwischen Oktober 2012 und Februar 2014 habe ich die ursprüngliche Geschichte ins Deutsche übersetzt, um Teile der unvollendeten Erzählung „der sinn', die ebenfalls unter dem Pseudonym „raoul qayjo' im Sammelband „vollkommen unvollendet' erschienen ist, ergänzt, das Ganze überarbeitet und stark erweitert.Wie alle anderen meiner „Experimente' betrachte ich die Geschichte als nicht vollendet, ja sogar als unvollendbar. Außerdem ist sie weit von vollkommen. Als Versuch, das Unaussprechbare auszusprechen, war sie ohnehin von vornherein zum Scheitern verurteilt ...
