These are the collected commentaries of Martin Love published in the Tehran Times. Not young now, but in his youth he worked at a number of U.S. newspapers like the Providence Journal in R.I., was assistant editor at Aramco World Magazine in The Hague, and he has written scores of articles on a freelance basis. Love holds graduate degrees from Yale Divinity School in Mideast studies, is a grad of Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, and earned an MBA from UNC in North Carolina where he has been based for decades with family. His expertise has long been issues in West Asia. Each of the Tehran Times commentaries were based on concerns at the time of writing, so in sum the books comprises a sort of critical historical record. Tehran gave Love a free hand to write exactly what he thought and not a single submission was edited or cut.
