Non è mai semplice combattere le battaglie della vita con la sola forza della poesia, ma questa scultura del pensiero, nel corso del tempo, ha dimostrato di avere la meglio sulle prepotenze, sulle violenze e sulla schiera di urlatori in grado solo di non farsi capire, credendo di avere sempre ragione. 'Io sono sovversivo' ci dice Mazzotta mentre sfodera in poco spazio tutta la condizione orribile che ogni guerra genera, anche nelle case dove non regna la pace 'sociale' che egli definisce una vera e propria invenzione nella sera dell’uomo resa oscura dall’artificiale spegnimento della luce e della speranza.
