Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Praktische (Ethik, Ästhetik, Kultur, Natur, Recht, ...), Note: 1,0, Universität Wien (Philosophie), Veranstaltung: Vorlesung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit sollte sich anfangs in erster Linie um den Essay von Dieter Birnbacher „Der Utilitarismus und die Ökonomie' aus dem Jahre 1990 drehen. Nach und nach wurde mir jedoch klar, dass ich generell zu wenig über den Utilitarismus, oder besser die verschiedenen Formen dieses Ansatzes, wusste. Deshalb gliedert sich die Arbeit nun in zwei Teile, wobei der erste sich mit den verschiedenen Ansätzen des Utilitarismus kritisch auseinanderzusetzen sucht, der zweite dann auf den besagten Aufsatz eingeht. Am Ende folgt eine kurze Stellungnahme.
