Cet ouvrage traite de la conception, du développement et de la validation d’un test psychométrique appelé Personal Meaning Scale Inventory (PMSI). Cet inventaire a été développé afin d’aider à l’évaluation des prestataires de soins d’Asie du Sud-Est âgés de 15 à 25 ans. Cet outil permettra de mesurer le niveau de sens et d’estime de soi des personnes qui se destinent aux professions médicales et infirmières. Le développement du PMSI est un effort modeste visant à contribuer à l’indigénisation et au développement de la théorie et des tests psychologiques pour l’enseignement infirmier et médical. L’inventaire se compose de soixante éléments développés et validés dans les catégories suivantes : expériences de choix (EOC), expériences de priorités (EOP), expériences de souffrances (EOS), expériences de religion (EOR) et expériences de transcendance (EOT).
