Captain Zeta Smith of the Monitor was forced to make difficult decisions that ate at his very soul. The senior officers of the Monitor also faced desperate decisions and the vague awareness that they might not survive the mission Captain Smith was leading them on. In the midst of all of this, the crew of the IERS Monitor was given an unofficial nickname: Hestia's Bravest! This is the dramatic and heartfelt sequel to the first Interstellar Monitor novel.
