Ein Großteil der Wirkungsbeziehungen wird mithilfe einer empirischen Erhebung unter 66 weltweiten Airport-Airline Konstellationen validiert. Dabei steht insbesondere die Steuerung der Beziehung im Fokus der Untersuchung.Das Buch wendet sich an Luftfahrtinteressierte aus Theorie und Praxis und soll dazu beitragen, die sehr differenzierten Beziehungen zwischen Flughäfen und Fluggesellschaften zu verstehen. Darüber hinaus sollen Denkanstöße zur Optimierung der Interaktionsbeziehung gegeben werden.
