Das allgemeine Ziel dieser Studie besteht darin, einerseits die Auswirkungen negativer Emotionen auf das Verhalten von Schülern zu verstehen und andererseits die Art und Weise, wie die Schüler mit diesen Emotionen umgehen.Die allgemeine Hypothese besagt, dass die Zunahme von Gewalt in der Schule damit zusammenhängt, dass es keine wirklichen Mechanismen gibt, um mit negativen Emotionen umzugehen. Die Studie wurde im Rahmen einer Theorie durchgeführt, nämlich der Theorie der emotionalen Intelligenz von Daniel Goleman. Die Studie wurde an einer Stichprobe von 400 Schülern mithilfe eines probabilistischen Stichprobenverfahrens durchgeführt.Wir sammelten Daten über diese Schülerpopulation, an die wir einen Fragebogen richteten. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie zeigen, dass die Beherrschung negativer Emotionen Gewalt in der Schule verhindern kann. Die vorliegende Studie spricht für die Sensibilisierung der Schülerinnen und Schüler hinsichtlich ihrer Beteiligung am Prozess der Ausrottung von Gewalt in der Schule.
