An integrated approach towards the formation of sedimentary basin has been presented in this profound book. The purpose of this book is to provide an overview on the techniques of sedimentary basin formation on active plate margins, which display enormous diversity representing intricate tectonic processes. An interdisciplinary approach regarding basin-forming mechanism has been based on geology, geophysics and sedimentology. It is devoted to the genetic assessment of sedimentary basins in distorted zones in fore-arc and intra-arc regions. It also deals with basin formation in peripheral regions of Eurasia and intra-arc / foreland basins under the influence of the fluctuation of stress regimes. Geophysical methods to basin analysis have also been presented right from microscopic to regional scales. The extensive content of this book provides the readers with contemporary accomplishments of basin researches on active margins by Earth scientists.
