This abridged edition is published by the Jude Project. It has been prepared by Kenneth and Marguerite Thomas, using Ford Lewis Battles’ English translation of Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin. The late Rev. Tateos Mikaleian of the Iranian Presbyterian Church translated Books One and Two into Persian in the late 1970s. His work was left unfinished due to the missionary exile and his martyrdom following the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The Jude Project has now completed the translation by preparing Books Three and Four, bringing to conclusion a project interrupted for nearly half a century.
