Inspirations from the Heart: Seasons of Change is more than a poetry book; it is a journey of the heart. It is a book about celebration, sorrow, and challenges but most of all hope is weaved into the pages. You will experience the times of greatest happiness and be pierced with the deepest loss, you will stand breathless on the edge of a precipice while tumbling headlong into valleys. This book is divided into six parts: Family Portraits - these poems are dedicated to different members of the author's family. Petals of Friendship - these poems are dedicated to friends and are about the different faces of friendship. Unfolding Eternal Love - these poems are about love between husband and wife, the love ordained by God. Fallen Petals of Sorrow - these poems were written in the deep times of sorrow in the author's life. Writing these were painful and desperate, but it was the only way she could express her sorrow. Shades of Color - these are different types and kinds of poems like Christmas poems, Patriotic poems, Sonnets and more. Unopened Packages of Hope - these poems of hope and mercy are dedicated to people, who in their situations, were divinely inspired by God. Come and experience this journey! 3

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
