Amiria Rey, born and raised to take her father’s spot as Field Marshal of the Winged Cavalry, struggles internally to be the person she is expected to be. Awkward and socially outcasted, Amiria stumbles upon Stirling Bakere committing high treason by riding a dragon. Internally, her heart fights against her training and she makes the first choice of her own accord. Becoming close friends with Stirling, Amiria starts to learn the world she grew up in isn’t as perfect as she was taught to believe. While Stirling is on the run, Amiria must choose what is more important to her, her best friend, or her loyalty and oath to the kingdom.
