Dieses Buch untersucht die Umsetzung rechtlicher und politischer Rahmenbedingungen zur Förderung einer inklusiven beruflichen Bildung für Menschen mit Behinderungen (PWDs) in Äthiopien. Auf der Grundlage einer umfassenden rechtlichen Überprüfung und Sekundärliteratur analysiert es, inwieweit internationale Konventionen, nationale Gesetze und TVET-Politiken mit dem Recht auf Bildung und Arbeit für PWDs im Einklang stehen. Trotz der Ratifizierung von Instrumenten wie der CRPD durch Äthiopien bestehen weiterhin Herausforderungen in den Bereichen Infrastruktur, Sensibilisierung, Finanzierung und institutionelle Kapazitäten. Das Buch argumentiert, dass ein sinnvoller Zugang zu technischer und beruflicher Bildung (TVET) stärkere Durchsetzungsmechanismen, eine behindertengerechte Haushaltsplanung, eine inklusive Planung und einen Einstellungswandel innerhalb von Institutionen und Gemeinschaften erfordert.
