Depuis l’indépendance, la Côte d’Ivoire privilégie les sciences et technologies au détriment des Sciences Humaines et Sociales (SHS), perçues comme peu productives. Cette étude analyse l’impact des inégalités sociales et des représentations culturelles sur l’employabilité des diplômés de ces filières. S’appuyant sur une revue documentaire, des entretiens et des focus groups, la recherche révèle que les préjugés et la faiblesse des réseaux sociaux freinent l’insertion professionnelle, malgré l’existence de niches d’emploi réelles (médiation, développement local). L’étude préconise une revalorisation des SHS pour réduire les inégalités et exploiter ces gisements de métiers méconnus.
