L’image sexualisée a été et continue d’être l’une des caractéristiques les plus courantes de la segmentation utilisée par la culture de consommation en général et par les publicitaires en particulier. Si le spectacle des femmes destiné à satisfaire la scopophilie masculine est en vogue depuis des siècles, l’utilisation du corps masculin à peine vêtu ou suggestif pour promouvoir des produits est récemment devenue un objet de consommation courante. Il est intéressant de noter qu’un mannequin masculin sensuel a un attrait bisexuel et est destiné à attirer à la fois les hommes et les femmes, les consommateurs hétérosexuels et homosexuels. Il s’agit d’une tentative de lecture visuelle et culturelle de la représentation sexualisée du corps masculin exposé, notamment sous la forme de mannequins, afin de comprendre comment les hommes sont passés de ce que Laura Mulvey appelait le porteur du regard au porteur du corps . Compte tenu du rôle de la culture dans la formation des corps et des débats sur l’objectivation du corps masculin, j’ai tenté d’examiner les façons dont le consumérisme manipule la construction culturelle du corps, ce qui conduit à la mort du corps , dont le résultat ultime est le mannequin, un phénomène qui suggère la transition et/ou la transformation de l’homme .
