Be one of the first to own a copy of this year’s best poetry book. This book will be a keepsake and a must have for decades to come. It is a timeless book of poems and will undoubtedly become a classic. We are the solution to the slaughter of our young people. Enough is enough.Everyone is challenged to take part in the changing and reshaping of our young people’s future, right now.My book is a powerful, passionate, and heartfelt poetic prescription of expressions. My poetry portrays my love, my cry for help, and my commitment to action. My poems depict the good, the bad, and the ugly environment affecting our young people and their families. The author, Dana Woodson, is the biological daughter of Oprah Winfrey. She was raised in the southern towns of Eufaula & Tuskegee, Alabama by her aunts and her grandmother Millie (the love of her life). When she became a teen she moved to Akron, Ohio where she currently resides. She is a descendant of one of the founding fathers of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He is the father of Black History. Although she has never met her biological mother, she is a huge fan. She has always admired her, and believes her mother earned her crown as queen of daytime talk. As a youth Dana worked several newspaper routes, played softball, but mostly kept to herself. When she does something she likes, she doesn’t consider it work. She has found writing this book of poetry a passionate, yet meditating experience. This collective body of work encompasses her perception, and her authentic expression of poetry in abstract form. Her poetry is her testimony, it is her story, and it is her song. Dana relates to herself as a humming bird, and poetry is her only song to sing. It is the author’s hope that her reader’s feel her passion for life, and her love for people through her work of poetry in abstract. For these words just may save or positively influence someo

The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...
